Ph. D - Social Anthropology (Oxford University, 1998)

Camilla Gibb is a Canadian writer who holds a PhD in social anthropology from Oxford University. She is a past winner of the Trillium Award, the CBC Canadian Literary Award and the City of Toronto Book Award and has been shortlisted for the Giller Prize. She has served as Writer in Residence at the universities of Toronto, Alberta and the Peter Wall Institute for Advanced Studies at UBC, and as the Barker Fairley Distinguished Visitor in Canadian Studies at U of T.

She has been an Adjunct Faculty Member with the Department of English’s MA Program in Creative Writing Program since 2006 and joined Victoria College in 2014/15 as the June Callwood Professor in Social Justice.
