I am just finishing the second of two books on the travel writer Jan Morris, Jan Morris A Bibliographical Life. I am currently writing a new bibliography text book, A Guide to Research Methods for Graduate Students in English, and a biography of the writer Jack Common. Meanwhile I continue to collect material for a publishing history of the Dictionary of National Biography 1885-1996.
The Contributors’ Index to the Dictionary of National Biography 1885-1901 (1989).
Leslie Stephen’s Life in Letters (1993).
Women and the Dictionary of National Biography (1994).
George Orwell A Bibliography (1998).
Understanding Tim Parks (2003).
Traveling Genius: The Writing Life of Jan Morris (2008).
Jan Morris: A Bibliographical Study (in the press).
We wish to acknowledge this land on which the University of Toronto operates. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
