Please hold the date of September 30 at 3:15 pm for a 1 1/2-hour hybrid session, "Career Planning: Discovering and Creating Opportunities," with Joanne Lieu, a Career Educator from the University of Toronto's Career Exploration & Education.

The in-person session will be held in room 616 in the Jackman Humanities Building (JHB 616).

In this session you will learn about tools and resources for discovering what others have done with an MA in English, identify possible next steps (further education, employment, etc.), and create timelines and strategies for exploring or taking those next steps. You will also learn about the programs, services, and resources offered by Career Exploration & Education to help you take next steps.

If you are looking for on- or off-campus for the upcoming academic year, then you may want to explore the Career Exploration & Education job boards. The work-study application period is August 15 through September 16, and the best jobs tend to fill quickly.

You may also want to keep an eye on those job boards in September, as many employers start recruiting graduating students in the fall of their final year of study for roles starting the following spring/summer.

MA and MA CRW Students (both current and recent graduates) are asked to RSVP for this workshop here and save the date and time to your calendars.

To help the Career Educator address your questions, please complete this anonymous survey: https://forms.office.com/r/0BiwtAtABZ  Please note: the form will allow only a single response.

We wish to acknowledge this land on which the University of Toronto operates. For thousands of years it has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work on this land.
