Three-Minute Thesis Competition
Two PhD candidates from English have qualified to advance to the university-wide finals of the Three-Minute Thesis competition!
Finals will take place on Wednesday, April 8 in room 1105 of the Sandford Fleming Building, and we’re inviting faculty and students to come out to cheer on our competitors!
If you’re not familiar with the Three-Minute Thesis (originally developed at the University of Queensland) the concept is simple, but daunting. Participants have three minutes, and a single, static slide, to explain years of research. All participants are PhD candidates who have achieved candidacy, and are nearing completion. We’re hoping that you’ll take this opportunity to showcase the work being done by your students, and will encourage faculty (especially the finalists’ supervisors!), and their fellow students to attend.
