I write with the very good news that
Professor Katie Larson has won a short-term research fellowship at the Folger Library for next year, which she will take up in the spring of 2014. This is actually the second library fellowship she's won for her sabbatical year. The first was the 2013 Renaissance Society of America-Bodleian Library Research Grant, which will support her residence at the University of Oxford during part of the fall term. During her time there, she will be a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for the Study of the Book. Both awards are in support of her current research on the affective function of song and of the singing body in early modern literature and culture.
