Topics in Shakespeare: Shakespeare's Late Style

Brief Description of Course: This course will focus on the end of Shakespeare’s career, around 1609 to 1611, with special attention to the changing status of art in his work. We will start with the sonnets (published in 1609) before turning to later plays including Cymbeline, The Winter’s Tale, and The Tempest.

Method of Evaluation: Two papers, term test, participation.
