Brief Description of Course:
This course introduces the work of contemporary poets such as Creeley, Larkin, Heaney, Ashbery, and Duffy, as well as more recent poetic styles and movements. It aims to provide a critical engagement with representative and significant works in contemporary poetry, as well as their intellectual and cultural perspectives. The course also aims to help students develop skills in close reading and build confidence in critical interpretation and judgment.
