Biography

Colin is completing his MA in English at University of Toronto (2025-26), following his upgrading of his BA in English to BA (Honours) (with Minor in Philosophy) at Brock University from 2022-25, where he initiated and ran the department’s first undergraduate students’ conference, along with founding the corresponding first publication of its proceedings in journal format, The Sett.
Colin’s research interests focus on human(centric) hermeneutics of the world, particularly regarding alterity or figures of the Other—hence his precise literary interests lie in the (dis)similar nexus of animal studies (inter-creatural relations), science and technology (human-incepted entities), and monster theory/teratology (fictionally abstracted entities)—and the possibilities for new ways of seeing that subsequently arise from considering such connections.
