Biography

Rowan Watts (he/him) received his BAH in English and Theatre from the University of Victoria in 2024, where he wrote his thesis on social network theory in the digital environmental humanities and contemporary ecological fiction. At the University of Toronto, Rowan is interested in researching Canadian ecocriticism and the relationship between ecology and economy (oikos) in the novel.

Rowan is also an actor, theatre practitioner, and filmmaker, having received laurels from the Salt Spring Island Film Festival, Golden Short Film Festival, and Canada Shorts Film Festival.
