English programs provide students with different frameworks within which to develop their knowledge of the field while balancing the demands of breadth and depth. Students should note that neither the specialist nor the major program are designed to meet the requirements for admission to any particular graduate program. Students interested in graduate school should seek advice on course selection from their professors and academic advisors, as well as the graduate school they wish to attend.
