Biography
I am a third year PhD candidate whose work situates itself at the intersections of black diasporas, feminist poetics and the grammars of being. My SSHRC funded doctoral study engages with contemporary African-American and Black Canadian women poets. I particularly focus on the ways in which their work represents, articulates and performs black feminist ethics and liberation through language, form and method. I am a Junior Fellow at Massey College and I convene the Black Studies Working Group within the Department of English.
I hold a BA (Honours) in English with a minor in Psychology from the University of Delhi and a MSc. in Literature and Modernity from the University of Edinburgh.
