Biography
Emma Joyal (she/her) is undertaking an MA in English with a collaborative specialization in Sexual Diversity Studies. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Winnipeg, majoring in English Honours and minoring in Women's and Gender Studies. As a queer person who actively seeks out diverse representations of queerness in literature and other media, Emma is deeply invested in considering the potential that queer stories hold toward dismantling cis-heteronormative systems of power.
