Biography

My name is Farah and I recieved my BA in English, Classical Studies, and Psychology at the University of Toronto.

My area of study is Romantic and Victorian literature with a specific interest in the Gothic. I am interested in approaching the margins of this genre, and its preoccupation with speaking the 'unspeakable, through a psycholoanalytic and post-colonial lens that interrogates the consumption of material culture and its deep ties with orientalism.

Additionally, I am interested in the Gothic house, children within the Gothic, and the utilization of Gothic elements outside of the Gothic genre.
