Biography

Madelaine Chrisanthidis received her Honours Bachelor of Arts with minors in Classical Civilizations and Creative Expression & Society from University of Toronto. Her current project works to blend her dominant passions: speculative fiction and adaptations of classical texts in literature. It explores the enduring themes of the self as an artistic pursuit, the treachery of familial love, and the allegorical use of non-realism, which persist from the Greek Iron Age into the contemporary literary sphere. Her project is supported by the Viola Whitney Pratt Memorial Scholarship. As an undergraduate, Madelaine worked as a book reviewer in the Arts section at The Mike.
