Course Description

A survey of novels, plays, poetry, and essays, written from the 1900 to present day, by authors who either self-identified or currently identify as gay, lesbian, bi, trans, or queer. Historical and sociological context will be provided by academic and newspaper articles and films.

Required Readings

TBA; includes selections from Woolf, Baldwin, Highsmith, Renault, Rechy, and Bechdel.
