Yelyzaveta (Lisa) Fedoryak

Having received my Honours BA in English and Philosophy from York University, my objective is to continue researching the intersection between the two fields of study. I am interested in investigating the development of American Literature from the 18th to the 20th centuries through a philosophical lens on identity and personhood, particularly in the subgenre of American Realism.

As I work through my primary area of interest, I intend to also broaden my perspective and knowledge base with Canadian and Indigenous literature. Between these fields, it is my goal to curate some sort of working relation of how North American society and literature treats the individual and the idea of the self.
