Associate Professor Katherine Williams has been named Co-Artistic Lead (Scholar/Dramaturg) for the Apothetae Residency at The Public Theater (NYC). This is a two-year residency, and the theater group is currently exploring Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus in a bilingual translation and rehearsal process (ASL and English), with Deaf, disabled, and nondisabled actors. This is part of an ongoing project on disability and performance in Shakespearean drama. Explore more about this groundbreaking initiative here.
